Bizkaiko hiribildurik zaharrena den honek, hainbat hamarkadatan ezkutatu ditu Kadaguako hegoaldeko hegalean dagoen muinoan nagusi zen antzinako gaztelu baten aztarnak. Oso eraldatua agertzen zaigu XIX. mendeko gerra-gatazka ugarietara berregokitzeko beharren ondorioz. Gaztelua beti izan da hiribildua konplexu-gotorleku egiten zuten hainbat eraikin eta defentsa-elementuren parte.<\/p>\n
Balmasedako Udalaren eta UNESCO Kultur Paisaiak eta Ondarea Katedraren artean sinatutako hitzarmenak aukera emango du Gazteluko inguruak eta hari lotutako ondare eraikia, haren hirigintza eta kultura-testuingurua halanola ingurunea aztertu, esku hartu, kudeatu eta balioesteko ereduak diseinatu, garatu eta aplikatzeko ekintzak bideratzeko, eta, aldi berean, udalerriko ondarea, materiala eta immateriala ezagutzeko eta gizartaratzeko.<\/p>\n

Horrela, gaur egun herrien artekoa den kontakizun bat lortzeko aukera dugu, urte askoan etengabe aldatzen aritu den lurralde-gune estrategiko batekoa.
